Aber für mich stellt sich die Frage, wie das ohne PHP oder eine andere "Live-Anfrage" an deinen Server gehen soll?

Also die Situation: du bist offline, jemand surft J-Homepage an und sieht das rote Offline-Licht. Nun gehst du online... wenn der Surfer seine Seite nicht aktualisiert, bleibt das Licht doch rot... oder verstehe ich da etwas falsch? Es muß doch irgendein script laufen (ob PHP oder Perl ist ja egal), daß permanent den Status deines Servers überwacht... ?(
