Lies`dir auch mal das hier durch:

Hier der Abschnitt:

Ich möchte den MySQL Server als Dienst betreiben!
Funktioniert nur unter NT, Windows 2000 und Windows XP Professional. Dazu müßt ihr die Konfigurationsdatei vom MySQL "my.cnf" zu finden unter \xampp\mysql\bin
(1) unter C:\my.cnf legen (die C:\ Partition ist erforderlich!)
(2) um danach in der C:\my.cnf die Pfadangaben zum xampp entsprechend anzupassen.
Ist also der xampp unter D:\, steht in der C:\my.cnf sowas wie "basedir=d:/xampp/mysql" und so weiter.
(3) Nun mit Doppelklick die "mysql_installservice.bat" unter \xampp\mysql\ starten. Fertig!
